Garment Care Guide

Take care of your clothes and they’ll take care of you. Good garment care helps clothes look better for longer, reduces unnecessary washing and replacement, and gets more wear out of the pieces you value most. It also supports a more considered approach to clothing overall – something we touch on in our Manufacturing & Sustainability page.

Always check the care label inside your garment first – specific fabric blends, trims and constructions may require different treatment.

General Care Tips

Wash less: not every garment needs a full wash after every wear. Airing pieces out and spot cleaning where needed will often do the job, which helps preserve colour, shape and fabric integrity.

Wash cool: when it is time for a machine wash, use 30°C or cooler with similar colours. A gentler cycle is easier on both the garment and the fabric.

Prep properly: zip garments up, empty pockets and turn pieces inside out where appropriate. This helps reduce abrasion and keeps surfaces looking better.

Use a mild detergent: choose a gentle detergent and avoid fabric softeners where possible, especially on natural fibres and knitwear.

Air dry where you can: tumble drying can be hard on clothing. High heat may cause shrinkage, weaken fibres and fade colour over time.

Store things properly: fold knitwear rather than hanging it, and make sure garments are clean and dry before putting them away for longer stretches.
