Brooklyn-based Chinese-American artist Rose Wong works across illustration, books, ceramics and textiles. Flowers recur throughout her practice, drawn with a clarity and economy that makes familiar forms feel newly observed.
We were drawn to the assured simplicity of Rose’s work and the way her bold, hand-drawn forms translate so naturally into cloth. For this Artist Series collaboration, her Tulip and Lily of the Valley drawings have been worked in raw-edged cotton appliqué and visible stitching across two soft cotton-twill shirts, as part of the Far Afield Artist Series.
