Following the launch of our SS26 collection, Tropicalismo, we sat down with David Buttle, founder of one of our favourite record labels, Mr Bongo, to discuss Tropicália, Brazilian music, and the cultural pulse of our shared hometown, Brighton. For years, Mr Bongo has been at the forefront of sharing Brazilian sounds with the world, driven by David’s passion for music and his unique ability to connect people with it. Our time with David and the Mr Bongo team was full of energy, stories, and, of course, great tunes – we managed to capture some of that in a short film.
To accompany the film, Mr Bongo have put together a Spotify playlist of their favourite Tropicália tracks.
