How to Measure

To get the best fit, lay a well-fitting shirt flat and measure the following:

CB Length – From the centre back seam at the base of the collar straight down to the hem
Chest – Across the front, approximately 2.5cm below the armpit
Sleeve – From the shoulder seam to the edge of the sleeve
Shoulder – Straight across from seam to seam at the top of the shoulders

Brooklyn-based Chinese-American artist Rose Wong works across illustration, books, ceramics and textiles, reducing familiar natural forms to their clearest shapes.

Here, a single flower runs almost the full length of the shirt, translated into raw-edged cotton appliqué against a black twill ground. The cream flower head forms a working chest pocket, turning Rose’s drawing into part of the garment’s construction. Visible stitching and lightly frayed edges give the artwork its tactile character.

The shirt is cut from a 160gsm cotton twill with an unusually soft, almost peach-like handle. Our Stachio shape is relaxed and boxy, with an open collar, straight hem and short side slits.
