Fit notes

The Workshop Overshirt has a relaxed, straight fit with a regular shoulder and a mid-hip length. The 400gsm cotton dobby gives it structure, so it holds its shape more like a lightweight jacket than a standard shirt. Take your usual size.

How to measure

Pick a well-fitting overshirt or light jacket from your wardrobe and lay it flat. Then measure against the points below.

Chest – Measure across the chest, around 2.5 cm below the armpit.
Length – Measure from the base of the collar down the centre back to the hem.
Sleeve – Measure from the shoulder seam to the edge of the cuff.
Shoulder – Measure seam to seam in a straight horizontal line.

A zip-front overshirt developed in the workshop, using a heavyweight cotton dobby we had on hand. Finished with a dobby-woven check, an external chest pocket and a second internal chest pocket, and a double-ended front zip.

Substantial in weight, with the feel of a lightweight jacket.

Cut in a relaxed, straight fit with a regular shoulder and mid-hip length, it layers comfortably without excess volume.
